Position Overview

A family in Midwood, Brooklyn is seeking a caring, dependable, and patient Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide morning assistance and support to an adult individual.

The DSP will assist with essential morning routines while helping maintain the individual's comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with morning routines and daily living activities.
• Provide assistance with dressing and getting ready for the day.
• Assist with toileting and personal care as needed.
• Provide assistance with feeding and morning meals.
• Encourage participation and independence with daily routines whenever appropriate.
• Provide patient, respectful, and attentive one-on-one support.
• Help maintain a comfortable and supportive environment.
• Promote the individual's dignity, comfort, and overall well-being.
• Communicate appropriately with family members or the support team regarding any concerns.
• Maintain a consistent and dependable morning routine.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient, responsible, and dependable.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care, toileting, dressing, and feeding.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to provide support in a respectful and dignified manner.
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to consistently maintain an early-morning schedule.
• Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, personal care assistant, or similar support role is preferred.
