Intern needed in our research department - REMOTE/HYBRID!
Internship in our Research Department:
1. Tasks/Responsibilities/Specific projects;
a. Research on persecution history of Jewish visual artists during the Nazi era.
i. conduct detailed biographical research
b. Organizing and documenting persecution history sources on Jewish artists.
i. assist in in documenting information on the persecution histories of specific Jewish artists
ii. compile research into structured formats for future use in publications
2. Skills/experience required;
a. Background in art history, history, with a focus on 20th-century art or Nazi-era history.
b. Interest and knowledge (preferred) in Jewish artists.
c. Research skills, with the ability to analyze primary and secondary sources such as archival materials, exhibition catalogs, and personal accounts.
d. Experience in using research databases
e. Experience in managing large sets of data or information and organizing research findings in a systematic manner.
f. Knowledge of German or other relevant languages ( e.g. French, Polish, Yiddish) is preferred.
g. Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel to organize and manage data and track research progress
