Operations Manager

Seeking a warehouse operations manager to join the team.

About the Role
The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee our 35,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Linden, NJ, managing a team of six warehouse staff, including one senior warehouse associate. This role is primarily focused on leadership and strategy (60%), but you will also spend time on the floor (40%) to fully understand workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements – and lend a hand when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimizing daily operations – Oversee shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment across LTL trucking and parcel shipments (UPS, FedEx, USPS).
• Improving Amazon FBA processes – Streamline kitting, labeling, pallet building, and truck loading to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Driving team performance – Manage and coach six warehouse staff, instilling a culture of ownership, accountability, and excellence.
• Refining WMS & inventory processes – Work hands-on with NetSuite WMS and handheld scanners to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Coordinating logistics & workflow – Ensure smooth operations for LTL truck pickups per day while maintaining high inventory accuracy.
• Collaborating cross-functionally – Work closely with the owner, COO, Sales, Support, and Technology to align warehouse strategies with company goals.

KPIs for Success:

• Orders Shipped on Time – All orders entered by 3PM is shipped out the same day.
• Order Accuracy – Minimize errors and maximize fulfillment accuracy.
• Inventory Accuracy – Promote practices that improve inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
• FBA Lead Time – Improve workflow to reduce the time required to prep and ship FBA orders while maintaining high degree of accuracy.

What You’ll Need

• 4+ years of warehouse leadership experience (preferably with a mix of truck and parcel shipments).
• Experience managing a team and fostering a culture of expecting excellence.
• Familiarity with WMS systems (NetSuite WMS is a plus but not required).
• Understanding of shipping/receiving procedures, inventory control, and logistics operations.
• Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
