The Director of Development will be responsible for executing the organization's fundraising strategy to support Ma'agalim’s mission of empowering at-risk youth in Israel. This role involves cultivating relationships with donors, overseeing fundraising campaigns, developing partnerships, and ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization. The Director of Development will work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and implement strategies for growing revenue and deepening donor engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fundraising Strategy:
o Lead the development of a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with Ma’agalim’s mission and goals.
o Develop and implement strategies for securing major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation grants, and planned giving.
o Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities to expand Ma’agalim’s donor base.
• Donor Relations:
o Cultivate and manage relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
o Steward relationships with current donors, ensuring high levels of donor satisfaction and engagement.
o Develop and execute personalized donor engagement plans to increase giving levels and long-term support.
• Campaign Management:
o Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of annual and capital fundraising campaigns.
o Organize fundraising events, donor recognition programs, and outreach activities to build donor loyalty and increase fundraising revenue.
o Ensure effective donor communications through newsletters, reports, and events.
o Prepare and submit grant proposals and reports to funders, ensuring compliance with requirements.
???????Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• At least 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with proven success in securing major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships.
• Strong knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques, including direct mail, donor cultivation, and event planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Hebrew and English.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage with high-net-worth individuals, corporate leaders, and community stakeholders.
• Ability to think strategically, plan effectively, and lead fundraising initiatives with clear goals and metrics.
• Familiarity with fundraising software and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, DonorPerfect).
• A passionate commitment to Ma'agalim’s mission of empowering at-risk youth in Israel.
